The Woodview

A comprehensive program of social, spiritual, and educational activities helps residents remain connected to their world, continuing life long interests, learning new skills and enhancing physical, intellectual and creative abilities. Our activity bus, equipped with lockdowns for wheelchairs, allows our residents to participate in community events and enjoy a variety
of unique outings.

The Woodview enjoys a special relationship with the community and our doors are open for numerous local events. Our annual Safe Trick-or-Treat, Breakfast with Santa and the Community Egg Hunt are eagerly anticipated by our residents and the public alike. Intergenerational events, scheduled on a regular basis, are an important aspect of the activsity program.

We believe that working together as a team is essential. Our Medical Director is actively involved in decision making regarding quality care. Our Resident Council meets monthly with all Department Managers and Family Night meetings are scheduled quarterly. Our residents and their families are included in all individual care plan meetings. We encourage families to participate in all aspects of Woodview life, as developing feelings of family and a sense of community has long been a tradition.

All of our staff has been trained in the Alzheimer Care Enrichment Philosophy. We believe in the “wellness” approach to health care, in which we focus on the strengths and abilities of our residents and work as a team to keep them as healthy and independent as possible.

At The Woodview, the quality of each resident’s life is important to us. We believe that our residents deserve full recognition of their independence and individuality and we encourage residents and their families to participate actively in their plan of care.
